Odyssey Robot Order to Show Cause
The FCC’s Office of Engineering and Technology (OET) and Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau (PSHSB) initiate a proceeding requiring Odyssey Robot LLC to show cause why the Commission should not revoke two equipment authorizations that the bureaus tentatively find were obtained through false representations concerning Covered List equipment.
What it does The Order to Show Cause concerns FCC ID 2BSYT-FMAWZOD, an uncrewed aircraft system (UAS), and FCC ID 2BSYT-YMAWZOD, its remote controller. OET and PSHSB tentatively determine that both devices are Covered UAS or UAS critical components produced in a foreign country and therefore were improperly authorized. The order alleges that Odyssey certified the equipment was not prohibited covered equipment and submitted supporting materials representing that the devices were developed, designed, and manufactured in California and assembled by eTak in Texas. eTak later denied any relationship with Odyssey or any assembly work. The order proceeds under section 2.939(d) of the FCC rules.
